The objective was to design a layout that balanced visual word recognition, tactile play, and auditory support. The design needed to accommodate large scale text, sticker zones, and QR codes within a clean, functional space that would not overwhelm or distract a young child from their learning goals.

I designed the product from scratch, creating a system where children search for sight words on reusable sticker sheets to place within the pages. I implemented a strategic colour coding system to help children narrow down their search through visual cues, encouraging independent problem solving. I integrated QR codes into the page flow to provide digital audio as a support aid for correct pronunciation, while using brand characters as decorative elements to maintain aesthetic consistency.

The project delivered a unique, tech-enabled resource that successfully updated traditional sight word practice for the early years market. By managing the layout of stickers, text, and digital touchpoints, I created an intuitive and successful product that remains a core part of the brand portfolio.
